An average temperature of 24.5°C, long hours of sunlight, and large temperature differences between day and night are wonderful for growing delicious rice.
Coincidentally those conditions are found in Myoko, Niigata. That is why Niigata rice is some of the nation’s tastiest.
"Shun" Soft, just sticky enough, but still with an individual structure and a nice overall texture.
A recipe that we recommend,
- Wash rice 2-3 times (cover with water, agitating with fingers, drain.) Soak 30 minutes. Drain.
- Add to InstantPot with 1:1 ratio (ex. 1c dry rice to 1c water).
Cook on high pressure 2 minutes, keep warm 10 minutes, release pressure, and please enjoy it.
